Our sister institution, the Los Angeles based Russell Street Center for Family Studies, unearthed evidence of an indoor picnic attended by various early 20th century ancestors of Fremont Street staff. While we may not know the names of these early research associates, Dennis Nyback and I are fairly certain we know the popular music they were listening to.
